OneYearEvent: Spirit Guardian

You have to draw your original character with their alter ego/spirit guardian. Right when I read the theme I knew I had to make a spirit guardian for my dear Angelique.

Angelique's spirit guardian's name is Libitina, which is a Roman myth name of a goddess of corpses, funerals, or/and the dead.
Libitina is half-human, half-skeleton. The skull half represents how Angelique has been almost close to death. And the human half represents Angelique's life side {look at this to understand more: [link]}.

When Angelique was 5, she had gotten very ill and had to be put in the hospital. She was there for months. Angelique was afraid that her life would end too soon, she didn't want to die yet when she hadn't lived her life. When she was close to death, Angelique created Libitina in one of her dreams. She wanted Libitina to protect her from dying of illness, and in the future. Angelique always goes to Libitina for emotional support since that first day she created her.

I had a fun time designing Libitina, I think she's great for Angelique. And her dress, wow, I really love that dress. Angelique's dress is...different. I wasn't sure what dress to put her in, so I just made it simple.
The background was hard to come up with, so I just went with a bloody skull and roses. Those roses are the best ones I've ever drawn. And yes, I am going to draw Angelique and Libitina together again.
